Some people leave a lasting mark on a company that goes far beyond their job title. For Access Electric Supply, Howard Benzel was one of those people.
This year, AES was proud to sponsor and attend the 6th annual HB Classic, a memorial golf tournament honoring Howard, who was part of Access from nearly the beginning and helped shape the company into what it is today.
The relationships he built, his approach to business, and the values he brought to his work helped establish a foundation that continues to guide us. As Access has grown and evolved, those principles remain central to how we do business and how we treat the people around us.
This year’s tournament was especially meaningful with our founder, Scott Yarnell, in attendance. Scott and Howard shared the early days of Access, and having Scott there to honor his friend and longtime business partner was a special reminder of the people and relationships behind our company’s history.
The HB Classic also carries Howard’s legacy forward by supporting scholarships and sports programs for kids at the Edmonds Boys & Girls Club. We’re proud to be part of an event that honors Howard’s memory while helping create opportunities for the next generation.
At Access, honoring Howard means more than looking back at where we started. It means continuing to build a company grounded in strong relationships, doing business the right way, and taking care of the people around us.
We’re grateful for the opportunity to celebrate Howard’s legacy and support a tradition that keeps his impact alive.
