    Paper Mill Testing and Maintenance

    Equipment:

    Services, LV Switchgear, Circuit Breakers

    About The Project

Papermills and other heavy industrial facilities with large power requirements often engage in annual testing and maintenance of their power distribution systems to ensure reliability. Numerous regional industrial facilities rely on Access Electric Supply to provide them with service technicians to perform services during their planned outages.

Services include testing of high voltage, medium voltage and low voltage switchgear and circuit breakers, testing and oil sampling of transformers, battery testing, relay testing, maintenance, cleaning and torquing of power busses, etc. Test reports are generated for historical trending purposes and when components are identified as deficient, resources are deployed to repair or replace in an expedited fashion.

These services help customers extend the life of their systems and ensure uptime during critical production hours. Reach out today if you have any questions about how we can help you maintain your gear.

    Refinery Power Distribution Center (PDC)

    Equipment:

MV Transformers, MV Bus Duct, LV Bus Duct, MV Switchgear, LV Switchboard, MCC’s, Panelboards, Transformers, Cable Tray

    About The Project

A Puget Sound area refinery was looking for a ready-made solution to reduce install time and labor for power distribution within its plant. With our numerous OEMs and industrial background, Access was able to provide a manufactured building, built to the stringent Washington Gold Standard – while also adhering to a Class 1, Div 2 environment.

This 60-foot long unit housed (3) switchboards, all fed with busway from outside the building, (6) MCC sections, as well as distribution panels. With this turnkey solution, Access provided the end user with a compact, clean electrical distribution solution that saved them significant field install time.

  • Retro-Fit Panels

    Equipment:

    Panelboards

    About The Project

A Seattle area hospital with dozens of overdutied panels needed a solution to upgrade their panels with minimum downtime. After a field visit to verify existing conditions, Access partnered up with IEM to provide custom fitted, retro-fit panels.

These panels used the existing cans to eliminate hours of demolition and the need to pull back conduits and wires. This solution allowed the contractor to mount a brand-new interior with properly rated breakers in a fraction of the time.

In addition to mitigating arc flash concerns, these panels also provided new dead fronts and doors to give the hospital a fresh look, all while satisfying the end user with a lower-cost total install, with far less downtime for this critical facility.

  • “White Elephant” Power Distribution Cart

Question: When does an elephant conduct electricity?

Answer: When Access Electric Supply builds massive carts designed to distribute power underneath widebody jets

These carts, colloquially known as White Elephants due to their 100’ power cords and aircraft tow bars are regular products that we supply to the aircraft industry to get tooling power to machinists around an aircraft. With an input of 200 amps at 480V, an internal transformer, numerous industrial outlets and built-in safety features, these units are industrial grade.

We team up with a number of partners to design, build, test, and label these units, and they’re another great example of a unique product we supply to address a unique problem.

  • BESS Automation Rack

    Equipment

    Medium voltage switchgear, transformers

    About The Project

Access Electric Supply partnered with a leading utility contractor on a critical BESS installation supporting a remote armed forces training facility in a challenging environment. We supplied the medium-voltage switchgear and transformers required to tie the BESS and station power into the grid, which are core capabilities for our team.

The project’s complexity increased with the integration of the automation systems that bring the installation online and keep it operating reliably. Shown here are the automation and reporting racks, featuring SEL RTACs and supporting components designed to deliver the level of visibility, control, and resilience required for a mission-critical power system.

In addition to the electrical distribution equipment shown, Access Electric Supply also provides fully integrated BESS solutions, allowing customers to source the complete energy storage and power infrastructure from a single, trusted partner.

    Peninsula Subaru

    Equipment Supplied

CT can, landing pad, meter base, ABB disconnects and panels, Hammond transformers

    About the Project

For the Peninsula Subaru dealership in Bremerton, Access Electric partnered with Titan Electric to deliver a tailored power distribution solution for this high-traffic commercial site. The electrical design required a utility-grade CT cabinet, landing pad, and meter base to meet local service requirements, feeding into a series of ABB disconnects and panelboards that powered the facility’s showroom, service bays, and administrative areas. We also supplied Hammond transformers to step down power efficiently and reliably.

Our early coordination and ability to stage materials helped keep this project on pace for opening day.

  • WCCHUB Community Center

    Equipment Supplied

ABB switchboards and panels, Leviton sub-metering, TPS TVSS units

    About the Project

Access Electric worked with Steele Electric to support the White Center HUB Community Center (WCCHUB), a multi-use public facility in King County. The project called for a modern, scalable electrical system that could serve a diverse range of programs and building needs. We provided ABB switchboards and panelboards to form a reliable distribution backbone, along with Leviton sub-metering to support energy tracking and tenant-specific usage. To enhance power quality and protection, we also supplied TPS transient voltage surge suppressors (TVSS).

This project reflects our ability to deliver well-integrated solutions that meet both code and community-level performance goals.
