    Panelboards

    About The Project

Access Electric Supply recently helped an industrial customer solve a complex retrofit challenge involving 25 existing panel boards. The facility needed to upgrade to new breakers to meet NEC 701 and achieve selective coordination, but the standard panelboard options available wouldn’t fit the existing wall-mounted enclosures. Replacing the entire infrastructure would have been costly and required extensive factory downtime.

Leveraging our technical expertise and strong relationship with IEM, we were able to design and deliver fully custom panelboards that fit perfectly into the existing boxes, while accommodating the breaker sizes the customer needed. This tailored solution minimized downtime, avoided expensive demolition or rework, and provided a clean, code-compliant upgrade path.

By partnering with manufacturers and applying engineering knowledge, we were able to once again deliver smarter, cost-effective results, adding value beyond distribution.

    about the project

When a critical medium voltage switchgear lineup at a major industrial facility was severely damaged due to improper installation, the customer faced the daunting challenge of getting the system rebuilt quickly and safely. Access Electric Supply (AES) stepped in with urgency and expertise, deploying experienced service engineers to diagnose the root cause of the damage, identify all necessary replacement parts, and expedite the procurement process. The AES team worked swiftly to clean the existing equipment to like-new condition, source and deliver components, and restore the gear to full working order, all without waiting months for a manufacturer response.

Thanks to AES’s rapid response, deep technical knowledge, and close vendor relationships, the customer’s facility was fully energized in a matter of weeks. The rebuilt switchgear was thoroughly tested and commissioned to ensure safety and performance, giving the customer peace of mind and avoiding extended downtime and costly delays.

Access Electric delivered a solution that was not only faster but also significantly more cost-effective than traditional factory repair channels.

  • Retro-Fit Panels

    Equipment:

    Panelboards

    About The Project

A Seattle area hospital with dozens of overdutied panels needed a solution to upgrade their panels with minimum downtime. After a field visit to verify existing conditions, Access partnered up with IEM to provide custom fitted, retro-fit panels.

These panels used the existing cans to eliminate hours of demolition and the need to pull back conduits and wires. This solution allowed the contractor to mount a brand-new interior with properly rated breakers in a fraction of the time.

In addition to mitigating arc flash concerns, these panels also provided new dead fronts and doors to give the hospital a fresh look, all while satisfying the end user with a lower-cost total install, with far less downtime for this critical facility.
